The 2011 LEAD International Session, to be held in Ottawa, Canada, will focus on a key issue facing humanity – how can economic aspirations be met in ways that are socially equitable and environmentally sustainable? How can economies be “greened” so they reduce poverty, tackle climate change, and provide economic opportunities that will last? What leadership is required? How can we better share information on green economy initiatives and opportunities? What role for technology and what technological innovations are emerging?

The 2011 International Session will bring together nearly 200 emerging leaders from over 40 countries to share experiences, ideas and solutions as they seek a better understanding of the issues and enhance their leadership capacities to foster change for a sustainable world.
